Built in 1983 using a scrap railroad span, the bridge is intended to provide trucks a shortcut to a business on the south bank of the creek. It is unknown what business owns the bridge, or who installed it.
It is also unknown where the span came from. At 50 feet long, it appears to be a standardized span. However, with every railroad within a 100 mile or more radius a possible match, the mystery of the bridge cannot be solved without someone of direct knowledge of the bridge providing information. It is known that a number of railroads in the area were abandoned between 1980 and 1982.
The girder appears to date to approximately 1900, and is set onto concrete abutments. The author does not immediately recognize the design as belonging to a specific railroad.
The author has ranked the bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design and lack of known information.
